Left Ventricular Pressure-Volume and Coronary Blood Flow-Aortic Pressure Loops During Caval Occlusion Manoeuvre (in Pig).

The upper panel shows beat by beat left ventricular pressure-volume loops measured during in vivo caval occlusion (LVV is the left ventricular volume, LVP is the left ventricular pressure). During in vivo caval occlusion the large rightmost left ventricular cardiac loop moves to the left small loop. The large loop shows the "starting" condition prior the occlusion, the small loop shows the final condition and the other loops show the transient phase. The red large loop shows the simulated "starting" condition prior the occlusion and the small red loop shows the simulated final condition. The lower panel shows beat by beat coronary blood flow-aortic pressure (CBF-AoP) loops obtained during in vivo caval occlusion. The large (right) loop shows the "starting" condition prior the occlusion, the small (left) loop shows the "final" condition and the other loops show the transient phase. The large and small simulated loops (red lines) represent the "starting" and the "final" caval occlusion conditions.
