The electric analogue of this pulmonary circulation consists of the pulmonary arterial section implemented with a 4-WM in which Rcbp represents the pulmonary variable peripheral resistance. The pulmonary venous compartment is reproduced by a 3-WM in which Rvp1 and Rvp2 represent the pulmonary venous resistances. In the network Pt is the mean intrathoracic pressure, Rcp is the pulmonary characteristic resistance, Lap is the pulmonary arterial inertance. Cap (Cvp) is the pulmonary arterial (venous) compliance.
