Resistance-compliance network representing the coronary circulation within the wall of the left ventricle. The two resistances in series mimic the arteriolar resistance (Rcor1) and the capillary and venous resistance (Rcor2). The capacitance Ccor mimics the large intramyocardial compliance. The intramyocardial pressure (K·LVP) is proportional to the left ventricular pressure by the constant K. The coronary bed is considered as a single branch which links the left ventricular output with the right atrium input. The network is connected to the whole cardiovascular system through the systemic arterial pressure (AoP) and the right atrial pressure (RAP).
